Celebrate the New Year with a chilly charity dip in Bassenthwaite Lake. The swim is free based on a donation being made to LDSAMR (Lake District Search and Mountain Rescue) which will be collected in advance of the event. The swim is not suitable for first time swimmers and places must be booked in advance to allow for appropriate safety cover.

Please note this is not a “run in and out screaming” event. You should have regular and recent experience of swimming outdoors in order to take part in this session. Swimmers should be acclimatised for cold conditions. For your safety, and that of the rest of the group, if you appear hungover or still under the influence you will not be allowed to swim.

Please bring your own hot drink. 

Tow floats are mandatory for this swim. Skins and wetsuits welcome.
