02-06-2019 CW Swim Hike

Combine the twin delights of walking and hiking with this unique adventure around Crummock Water. The quiet Western Lake District is ideal for a really wild swim thanks to its relative distance from the most popular areas of the national park. You can appreciate the the awesome scenery from the centre of one of my favourite lakes. We take a circular route with two swims and three walking sections. Speed or style is not important but swimmers should be confident crossing open water and able to swim a minimum of 450m comfortably. The walks are over non-technical terrain covering 5 miles in total. This event is not suitable for beginners. Non swimming walkers can join us for part of the journey.
