04-05-2022 Harrop Tarn

As the evenings get lighter we can appreciate the late evening sun on this quiet after work walk to a secluded tarn. We have a steep start but it is quickly over and you will be in the water before you know it. After our dip, we make our way back on gentle forest tracks, keeping an eye out for deer and red squirrels. 

Bear in mind that tarns can still be pretty cool in spring and this is not suitable for new or first time outdoor swimmers. Skins and wetsuit are welcome. Suitable for dippers and bobbers. 

The walk takes in 550ft of ascent and is 2.5 miles in distance.
