Another popular swim returns! This swim highlights the very best of the river Derwent, with expansive views, deep river pools, and effortless swimming. We walk to our start point and then glide along beneath the river bank, keeping an eye out for otters and kingfishers. This is a one-way swim meaning we start in one place and finish in another. 

This is a very leisurely swim and we mostly swim head-up breastroke at a relaxed pace, however for safety reasons there are minimum and maximum experience requirements for this swim. You must be able to swim 1km in open water, and have recent relevent experience of outdoor swimming. If you are used to swimming front crawl, and distances above 2km, this swim might be too slow for you.
