We start with a guided nature walk down to the lake (less than a mile) and swim from a shingle beach. The swim is head-up breaststroke and your time in the water is as long or short as you like, within reason. Bring a flask to enjoy afterwards, I supply the snacks.

This swim is suitable as a stepping stone from beginner sessions and will help you increase your confidence. However you should have prior and recent wild swimming experience to take part in this event. Please contact me if you are unsure. The lakes are still cool at this time of year and swimmers should be acclimatised. Thermal socks and gloves are recommended on this swim and wetsuits are optional. Tow floats are mandatory. A full kit list will be sent out after you have booked your place.
