Brathay Swoosh

Join me for a leisurely afternoon swim along the Brathay. We swim round bends and under trees, through river pools and past private views on our journey - we start in one place and finish in another!

It's a one way swim assisted by the current on a charming river meander. Although the pace is relaxed, you should have prior experience of swimming half a mile or more in open water. You should be comfortable and acclimatised to stay in the water for an hour or more.

This swim requires a swim bag and lightweight changing towel or robe, both of which can be hired.

Warm refreshments are provided, afterwards we go for chips which is not included in the price.

This swim is not suitable for beginners. Experienced skin swimmers are welcome.

There are two dates for this swim in October and September. The October session is best suited to regular swimmers with good tolerance for cooler water however thermal wear can be hired for both swims.

Please note this swim is subject to river levels and I may have to offer an alternative in cases of heavy rain or severe drought.
