Brathay Swoosh - August

Join me for a leisurely afternoon swim along the Brathay. We swim round bends and under trees, through river pools and past private views on our journey - we start in one place and finish in another!

It's a one way swim assisted by the current on a charming river meander. Although the pace is relaxed, you should have prior experience of swimming half a mile or more in open water. You should be comfortable and acclimatised to stay in the water for up to an hour. The distance is one mile. Evidence of recent swimming experience may be required on booking. This swim is not suitable for beginners or for non-swimmers to follow on foot, however friends and family are welcome to join us after for chips (not included in the price). Experienced skins are welcome. The swim is guided by paddleboard.

Swimmers need a submersible swim bag for essential items, these can be hired with advance notice.

Please note this swim is subject to river levels and I may have to offer a local alternative in cases of heavy rain or severe drought.
