Eskdale River Dipper

Come and see Eskdale in all its autumnal glory on this low level wander, tracing the river Esk along the valley floor and dipping in some of the Lake District's cleanest and purest water.

We start off with a trip on La'al Ratty, surely the best way to start any walk, and then alight for our first section of the walk and our first swim. From here, we will be walking for the rest of the day on a gentle path with no steep climbs. So if you like gentle walks, this is the one for you! The pace on this walk is relaxed to allow for slower speeds. There are two river swims - both optional. Do one or both! We stop for a picnic lunch (bring your own) and there will be an opportunity for a café or pub stop at the end of the walk.
