About the event
Gentle Rydal is a linear swim along the length of the lake finishing at a great pub. Swim bags are included in the price, and the optional pub lunch at the end is extra.
The pace of the swim is leisurely and is suitable for breaststroke swimmers and slow crawlers. Experienced skin swimmers are welcome.
The distance is just over a kilometre and you will need a swim bag to carry your clothes and shoes. Size 35L or bigger is recommended and a kit list will be emailed in advance. A limited number of swim bags are available to borrow.
The swim will be led at a gentle pace. You are welcome to swim crawl if this is your preferred stroke. You should be able to swim a minimum distance of 500m and tread water comfortably. This swim is not suitable for complete beginners nor is it suitable for competitive…
