About the event

Have you ever found yourself walking along a lake and wondering what it might be like to swim in it? Join me for an introductory session in partnership with the National Trust to learn about safe and enjoyable wild swimming in the Lake District!

You don’t need any prior wild swimming experience but you must be able to swim. This is not a swimming lesson, nor is it an opportunity for training or coaching. During this session we swim breaststroke. You should be able to tread water and feel comfortable swimming out of your depth. Check with me before booking if you have any concerns about your ability level.

Based in Crummock Water, you can expect a short walk down to the lake and an explanation of water safety, and how swimmers can minimise our impact on the environment. The swim is not measured in distance but it is timed…
